Summer in the barn at Camp Winnepauk is about to get interesting
For years, part-time cowboy Luke has obsessed over a beautiful green-eyed girl he once saw in a magazine. Not a model, just a girl who captured his imagination…and then fueled every sexual fantasy he’s had ever since. When that picture comes to life in the form of Tess, a twenty-year-old counselor-in-training with a sexual appetite that rivals his own, Luke has finally met his match.
Tess wasn’t thrilled about spending the summer mucking out horse stalls, but things take a dramatic turn when she meets Luke. The tall, lean cowboy delivers more than she could have hoped for, showing her exactly what her body is capable of. There won’t be weeks of flirtation for these two: Tess is impatient and her cowboy…does…not…play.
Raise your hand if you’ve yet to find out how much I like cowboys. I mean, they’re amazing. They wear those awesome hats and don’t even get me started on the boots.
There are so many good things I want to say about this book. My only complaint is we have this beautiful cover with a cowboy holding a whip. The whip is never used on the pages. I found myself a bit disappointed at that, but I got over it.
They market this book as “for those times when size does matter. The Dirty Bits from Carina Press: Quick and dirty, just the way we like it.” I’m sure I just became BFF with a publishing company! I mean, how do they know exactly what I look for in books? Anyway, at 19 000 filthy words, this book was quick and dirty.
The story isn’t overly complex. Luke and Tess meet when they’re both working at a summer camp. The story isn’t so much about the camp as it is about the rules they’re breaking by being together and the immense creativity required to make the relationship work.
This is an erotic romance title. Yes, there is a relationship, but it’s formed through long nights wrapped up in each other not lengthy conversations over dinner.
I have to commend the author, the sex was creative. You will not find any boring missionary style or robotic intimacy in this book. Every intimate interaction is unique, different from the last. When you read as many sexy stories as I do, good book sex is much appreciated.
Overall, Rough Ride, was a book true to its name. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for their next bedtime read. Luke won’t leave you disappointed 😉
