This is a lot of fun. Just answer three questions and make a post about it.
I find it’s especially nice for weeks where reading has been difficult. Which is exactly what I’ve been dealing with this week. I’m pretty sure I’ve read the same chapter nearly 30 times. Not because it’s that good. It might be the best chapter ever, but I couldn’t even tell you what it’s about.
What am I currently reading?
HOT ASSET by Lauren Layne
I’ve been working on this one for a while. But ended up putting it on the back burner for a while. Hopefully, I’ll get through this one soon.
Ian Bradley is the definition of a Wall Street hotshot: seven-figure salary, designer suits, and a corner office. His drive off the floor is just as potent. Every woman who knows him has felt the rush. But now he’s met his match in Lara McKenzie—a woman with the power to bring Ian to his knees.
An ambitious, whip-smart daughter of FBI agents, Lara is a rising star in fighting white-collar crime. Her latest case—the investigation of Ian Bradley for insider trading—could make her career. She knows a scoundrel when she sees one. Ian fits the bill: a cocky, ridiculously handsome bad boy with a slick swagger.
She’ll do anything to prove he’s guilty. He’ll do anything to prove he’s not. But it’s only a matter of time before their fierce battle of wits gets oh so hot and personal. Now, taking down Ian has become more than business for Lara. It’s become a pleasure—and there’s more at risk than she ever dreamed.
THE WHITE ROOM by C.M. Albert
There are two types of erotica: really steamy romances, and well, really steamy not romances. This book fooled me, it’s the kind of erotica I don’t usually bother with. However, it’s tastefully explicit and I can’t bring myself to DNF it. It’ll just take a while to get through.
“What we do behind closed doors reveals the naked truth of who we really are.”
The rules are simple:
They’re put into place to protect us—exclusive clients lucky enough to afford the cost of playing. But everyone knows some rules are made to be broken. When hearts and bodies collide, even the best intentions slip away…exposing the real reasons why we seek the White Room in the first place. Will the White Room set you free? Step inside and find yourself.
What did I recently finish reading?
Shades was due for a blog tour I might have forgotten about. No big deal though, I read it and the post is ready to go for Friday.
Adrian’s Scar was a super short book that was responsible for the most awkward conversation I’ve ever had.
What do I think I’ll read next?
This part always feels ridiculous to do. New books seem to show up on my Kindle or in my inbox all the time. I hate trying to decide in advance because I never know what will show up next. Does anyone else have this problem?
Resisting The Rancher: I really need to thank Tule Publishing for making sure I never run out of cowboy books.
The Varlet and the Voyeur: I was absolutely not expecting to get approved for this ARC. But, when Penny Reid shows up on my Kindle, I have to read it immediately.
